SO BYE BYE MISS AMERICAN.......WELCH!!

What a fantastic game!!! One of the greatest ever at the LCS!!! Lou Frazier and Wendell Magee are on absolute fire!!! Torey had a blast that was foul by a FOOT!! SO CLOSE! Great pen work kept it close for the "never say die" Red Barons and their Die-Hard fans!

ARKANSAS, not in this Axe Yard!

Despite the game's lack of homeruns, the Barons busted out on the Tides for 13 hits!! Most notably Lou Frazier's 4 hits including a double! Jon Zuber is back on track!!! He went 2-4 with a double but was left ISP. Estalella of course had the huge double but went 1-5, but his 3 RBI overshadow that fact. GOOD GAME SLUGGERS!

ERA DROP ALERTS!!!!

WHAT A RELIEF CORPS!
Fesh 3.94 -----> 3.78
Scott 4.41 -----> 4.32
Ryan 6.31 -----> 6.14
GOOD JOB PEN!

NICE PICKOFF GUERRA!!!

Te Toca a Ti!!! Taco Man! Andy Warhol! Amanda the Rrr rrr ROMERO!!! The real Italian!
CORRECTION: Lou Lucca minus Darryl Scott = Scott Livingstone! Think about it! and Carver is still very happy that I agree with him.

THE COLUMN THAT MAKES YOU WANNA SHOUT!

Here's that Otis Day Dave Lefchak (The Knights) with his "two runs per inning!"

MY TWO CENTS
by Dave Lefchak
August 7, 1999

The Red Barons fought off the curse of the umpires and the one-run loss to
win in dramatic FESHion, by the final score of 5-4. A wild pitch from former
Red Baron nutcase Mike Welch provided the go-ahead run, and Ken Ryan earned
his paycheck tonight by shutting the door for the ultimate save, striking out
the final batter to seal the win. Here are my insightful ramblings:

No Arkansas blasts tonight, but we had 13 hits as the offense finally came
back! Lou Frazier garnered player of the game honors with his 4 hits, and it
would have been 5 if it weren't for Tomberlin playing so close to the RF
line. And Wendell continues to hit everything, and Zuber almost hit one out!
Way to go, guys!!!

Tonight's Charlie Hustle Award goes to pinch-hitter Billy McMillon. On a
poor pickoff throw to first base, Billy hustled to 3rd to set up a scoring
chance. Thats the kind of hustle we need when you only get one chance to
perform in the field! Get well soon, Billy, the ballgirls miss you...
hehehehe.

Tonight's Trojan Boner of the Game Award does not go to a Red Baron, as every
player succeeded in their game tonight. So, I'll give it to the umpires for
still being pricks about certain calls. In particular, Jon Zuber tagged out
a runner adavncing to first, and of course he was called safe. That opened
the door for a 2-run inning for Nawfuck and the Barons had to fight off yet
another demon from the umpires.

BRING BACK CLEMENTE ALVAREZ!!!!!!!! We can carry 3 catchers!!!!!

Mike Grace struggled tonight, but the relief was just spectacular!!! Fesh
came in earlier than usual, and we couldn't get down close enough to see him
cause it was before 9:30. He actually came into the on deck circle acting
like he was gonna bat, it was hysterical! Fesh pitched 2 scoreless innings,
Darryl Scott pitched 2 more, and Ken Ryan got in to get the save after
blowing it the night before. Way to go, pen!

That's my two cents, gang. And always remember, enjoy the FESHtival.
