WENDELL AND RIT!!
Wendell Magee saved our asses once again by providing the game tying blast in
the 10th to power a 3-2 victory in what was supposed to be the first game of
a double header!! Mike Grace pitched 3 strong innings and Billy Brewer pitched
4 innings of 1 run ball. Darryl Scott (3-4) pitched the final 3, giving up one run,
to earn his 3rd victory. The tying and winning runs were scored off Rich Delucia,
another has been.
Stranding runners prolonged the agony!
Torey Lovullo scored our first run cause he's the coolest guy next to Fesh. He
doubled in the 2nd and scored on a Lou Lucca sac fly, which Jim Miller pronounced
as "Classic Lou Lucca." Billy McMillon had a double in the 8th, but was stranded.
ERA DROP ALERTS!!!!
Holding the mighty Buffalo bats to only 2 runs again was impressive. But Mike Grace cannot recieve a Drop, alas for he has no ERA to begin with! :) GO MIKE!!
Brewer 4.25 -----> 4.11
Scott 4.77 -----> 4.69
Gimme that tasty, tasty BULLPEN work!
God Bless Mitch, the original heckler.
We are obviously rattling opposing hitters and pitchers alike, we shall now make our way to the backstop during the 7th inning stretch. Giving us more offensive chances.
M'kay? M'kay!!! SYRACUSE TODAY!!!

The Barons played ten innings in what was supposed to be game one of a
doubleheader Friday night, and they won in dramatic fashion (or FESHion) once
again, winning 3-2 with 2 runs in the 10th. Game two was suspended and we
will never see it again. Here are my insightful ramblings:
Wendell Magee was clutch once again! In a similar situation a few weeks ago
against Columbus as well as a few days ago against Louisville, the Bisons
scored 1 in the top of the 10th to lead 2-1. But Wendell led off the bottom
of the 10th with an enormous Arkansas Blast to left-center to tie it at 2!
After a few Barons reached base, Bobby Estalella hit a sac fly to score Lou
Frazier who tagged up easily from 3rd base and the Barons pulled it out!
Rich DeLucia is WASHED UP!!!
The 45 minute rain delay at 11:15 at night gave us ample opportunity to speak
with the FESHer, who was all alone in the bullpen (awwwww) waiting out the
delay. We talked about various things, such as Russell Branyan, wiffle ball,
the Bangles, and D.T. Cromer. Fesh is such a class act!!! You never know
where the fan club will turn up next.... hehehehehehehe.
Tonight's Trojan Boner of the Game award goes to Tyler Green. Surprised?
Hardly. He managed to take the wind out of our sails with a typical Green
performance in the second game which, thankfully, we never had to watch the
end of. $750,000 a year, and this is the best we have. That really makes me
feel better.
BRING BACK CLEMENTE ALVAREZ!!!! I mean, John Finn is all well and good, but
why not Clemente???
Mike Grace pitched well for us, but only pitched 3! Hey Bombard, dont you
remember that Grace is a starter, not a reliever? Youve gotta get him some
innings! Best ERA on the team at 0.00!!! How can you argue with that!
Numbers don't lie!!!
A special note to Mitch from NC: If you wanna see the Fesh in action, come
on up to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre for the Norfolk series August 5th-8th. I
guess its the closest team to you that we are still playing!
That's my two cents gang, until next time, enjoy the FESHtival.
