OH MY GOD!! GET OFF ME!!!
WHAT A NIGHT! OLD SCHOOL SWB BASEBALL!! This game had it all. The bag of heckles, Wakeland (which
I'll explain later), the Bag O' Heckles, horns, The Mud Hen (again to be explained later), we signed autographs,
and the infamous airhorn that led to 4 strikeout in the final 3 innings.
The Barons played with the heart that made them champs last season. After bolting out to a
3-0 lead some key base hits, a balk and our Buddy Wakeland's two base error. Pritchett singled and
Wakeland couldn't field a one-hop. It rolled to the wall and Schall and Forbes scored. In the fourth,
Jimmy Rollins drove in Cesar King on a triple. Rollins could have easily scored, but he hesitated and lost
his momentum. "Spanky" Macias threw him out at the plate. Shane Bowers had a 1 hitter going through
the first 4 1/3 innings, then he derailed, giving up 5 runs in the 5th. I don't feel like
recapping Toledo's highlights...Bowers did bounce back to throw a perfect 6th and 7th. In the bottom of
the 5th, Reggie Taylor tied the game with a big line drive homer to right. In the meantime,
The Fesh Fan Club got some autograph requests, and we layed into Wakeland to the tune of 2 errors
and 3 strike outs. The Leach fan club had a nice sign that said "E-9" on one side and "waKeland" on the
other. Thomas "The Big Hock" Jacquez came in and gave up only 1 hit in 2 2/3. Enter the "Big Johnson!" Barry faced
one hitter to get the win, his 4th of the year. It just so happened to be Javier Cardona, who
definately couldn't handle the AIRHORN! He flung all his equipment in disgust and we continued to beat the
shit out of "The Mud Hen" which was a bird we hung on a noose that played "the chicken dance" until we
smashed it so bad that it ceases to do much of anything. We got 2 different fanovision appearances,
this increased our total to 3...hmm...oh well! Time for special stuff!!!
ARKANSAS BLASTS!
REGGIE TAYLOR!! He kept the game close when he belted his 6th home run of the year!!
MARLON ANDERSON! He almost ended the game with 1 swing in the 9th, instead he hit a towering triple,
but failed to score.
ERA DROP ALERTS!!!!
NOBODY HITS THE BIG HOCK!
Jacquez 1.42 ----->1.25
Johnson 2.18 -----> 2.17
GOOD JOB HOCK AND JOHNSON!
HECKLING WAS KEY!
We layed into Wakeland so bad!! 2 errors and 3 Strikeouts? Coincedence? No f***in way!
Thanks Leach fans for helping us out!!!
Hmm, I was just thinking about something...Clemente Alvarez plus Robert Dodd minus Kenny Woods
equals SEAN FESH!! Think about it~! And George Gilbert looked forlorn when Dodd
was pitching last night!
THE COLUMN THAT MAKES YOU WANNA BLOW THE AIRHORN!!
Here's that Big Hock Dave Lefchak (Jacquez) with his "Wakeland, YOU SUCK!!"
MY TWO CENTS

An old school victory against the Mud Ducks is just what the Barons needed!!
Kenny Woods' RBI pinch-hit single in the 10th inning vaulted the Barons to a
6-5 victory at the Lack! Here are a bunch of my insightful ramblings:
ARKANSAS BLAST TONIGHT!!! Reggie Taylor, who woulda thunk it? He blasted his
6th of the year right down the right field line. We need to start hitting
more bombs... geez, Toledo is leading the league and they have TWICE AS MANY!
Tonight's Trojan Boner of the Game Award goes to Jimmy Rollins. Although he
made some outstanding plays in the field, and came through with a clutch hit,
the Boner Award goes to him for his baserunning blunder in the 4th inning. He
ran right through Bombard's stop sign, which for once was a good call by
Bomby.
Chris Wakeland... hehehehe. He was our MVP tonight making several *cough*
stellar plays in the field. He can hit, but brother, he ain't no right
fielder.
BRING BACK GARY BENNETT!!! Sorry, Clemente, I'd rather have the guy who's
batting .348 than you or Cesar King at this point.
You heard it here first: Chris Pritchett, Dave Doster, and Gene Schall aren't
hitting so well lately. But, that will change beginning tomorrow. They will
break out of their slumps and play great baseball for the stretch drive.
Billy McMillon has certainly "lost that lovin' feeling!"
Hey, maybe the PawSox will actually lose more than one game in a row.
Wouldn't that be nice?
That's my two cents, gang. Have fun, and enjoy the FESHtival!!!
