OFFENSIVE EXPLOSION FOR NARY A WEE VICTORY...
The Red Barons 11 hit performance couldn't bail out starter Anthony Shumaker who gave up 9 runs (8 ER) in 6 1/3 innings that buried the team. Ken Ryan didn't help him at all letting all his inherited runners (2) score, but Ken's stats are not affected by this, thanks Gandhi!!
NOT ONE DAMN DINGER!
Despite a definite lack of homers tonight, some Red Barons put up impressive offensive performances. Lou Frazier went 2-5 with a Triple and a stolen base. He's been warm since his return to the lineup. Torey Lovullo had 2 doubles and a single and drove in a run. Jose Flores also had two hits, one a triple, and drove in two runners.
ERA DROP ALERTS!!!!
Needless to say, Shumaker didn't get one, but selfish Ken Ryan did...here you go all you ERA-buffs!
Ryan 7.98 -----> 7.16
Brewer 4.78 -----> 4.67
GOOD JOB PEN, I guess...
SHINY HAPPY PEOPLE
I'm very happy with the way we played, except....CARVER...what? Wow, this seems a lot like yesterday's section. Maybe that's cause Carver always sucks! The big pisser is that Pawfucket lost to Adam Johnson and the R-Braves, it would have been nice to pull within 3 games and go one over .500, but we can DReeeeeeam, dream, dream dre-eeam. Hey those drunk guys were friggin hilarious. They were from Boston or something and they liked Torey's hit barrage...plus the one was "Fat Bastard"
George Gilbert isn't too happy right now, but neither is Steve Hydock, Kingston Corners near Burger King...
THE COLUMN YOU'D GO TO JITTY JOE'S WHEN IT'S CLOSED FOR!!!

MY TWO CENTS

Well, the Barons continued their inconsistent play at home this evening in
front of 10,272 fans as they lost to their mortal enemy Columbus 9-6. Here
are some of my insighftul ramblings about the game:
Our offense has been coming alive of late, and we have been getting hits from
such unlikely candidates as Jose Flores! We got salsa tonight, and Jose
delivered with a triple to right field! Many of our hitters were on tonight,
namely Flores, Lovullo, and Frazier. Nice job guys!!!
On the other hand, our starting pitching other than Joel Bennett continues to
suck balls. Anthony Shumaker got shelled tonight for a 5-run 2nd inning as
well as a 2-run 4th inning. Maybe Goose Gregson should sit down with these
guys and put them in a metal box and send them seaworthy. It would make
things a hell of a lot easier for us.
Tonight's Trojan Boner of the Game Award once again goes to Steve Carver. He
continues to be as slow as the traffic on the Walt Whitman Bridge at 5:00 on
a Friday. Killing every Red Baron rally seems to be his specialty.
Strikeouts, double plays, or the simple defensive error, are all ways that
Carver has earned his reputation as the Red Baron Load.
BRING BACK CLEMENTE ALVAREZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A little note to all the Columbus supporters at tonight's game: If you're
gonna root for the Cilppers just cause they are affiliated with the Yankees,
go to New York and root for them. I think I speak for all the members of the
fan club when I say that you are nothing but a pain in the ass. You probably
think you're so funny trying to psyche out the Red Barons just cause they are
from Scranton. Well, let me assure you, we think about as highly of your
nonsense as highly as all Jews idolize Adolf Hitler.
That's my two cents, gang. GET YOUR ASSES IN THE SEATS AGAINST COLUMBUS!
And always remember, enjoy the FESHtival.

I AGREE THAT CLIPPER FANS SUCK
F*** THE CLIPPERS!
Just don't stare like you never cared, I know you did, but you just smile, politely, like you're telling me "Have a nice life."
